SK Energy held a completion ceremony for the 4th R&D building in SK Energy Institute of Technology.
Since its foundation in 1995, the SK Energy Institute of Technology has developed world leading catalyst/processing technologies and new product technologies along with its focus on new/renewable energy and information & electronics materials, including HEVB (battery for hybrid electric vehicles), hydrogen/fuel cell, DPF (diesel particulate filter), Stationary DeNOx catalyst, LiBS (lithium ion battery separator) and FCCL. 50 billion won was invested in the 4th R&D building, which will be used for next generation researches in information & electronics materials and battery tests. Hyunchul, Shin, CEO of SK Energy visited the new R&D building and had a ride on the hydrogen vehicle and asked the researchers, ¡°to build global competitiveness by developing technologies based on existing business such as energy and petrochemical as well as in new technologies in new energy/materials to lead future growth of the company.¡± SK Energy plans to continuously expand its R&D investment and R&D infrastructure along with better support facilities (e.g., dormitories) and welfare facilities for researchers. |
